078 – Don’t Give Up

Phillip Hunt

Poem – Ink on paper

If you’re feeling down
been kicked around
you don’t fit in
got a frown on your face
had enough of life
the human race.

Don’t give up
don’t give in
a smile starts from a grin
happiness comes from within.

Get out of the rain
follow the sun
shake those blues
have some fun
put on your shoes and run – run – run.

Grab a guitar
give it a strum
smoke some reefer, a glass of rum
whistle a whistle
hum a hum
dum-dee de dum-dee de dum-dee dee-dum.

With the world being in a mess
gives you a headache
makes you stress
got no energy, got no zest
lost your touch, your caress
you’re not going to take it
you couldn’t care less.

Try to be happy
not to be glum
get out of the rain
follow the sun
put on your shoes and run – run – run.

Grab a guitar, give it a strum
smoke some reefer, a glass of rum
whistle a whistle, hum a hum
dum-dee dum-dee dum dee-dee dum
put a smile on your face
and have some fun.
